Wearable devices and chronic insomnia (Digisensing)

Do you have trouble sleeping and are you interested in learning about your sleep

We are looking for individuals aged 65 years and older with chronic insomnia to participate in a

study evaluating the effectiveness of using sensors to analyze sleep in older adults.

Course of the study

For 14 days, information on sleep, cognition and mental health will be collected through mental games, questionnaires, wearable devices and sensors.

Chronology of the study. For 14 days, we will ask you to:

  • Fill out a sleep journal for 5 minutes a day
  • Wear two smartwatches
  • Use two sleep sensors
  • Complete mental games and questionnaires daily remotely

We are looking for participants:

  • 65 years old or older
  • Suffering from chronic insomnia
  • Fluent in English or French
  • Having access to an Internet connection at home
  • Able to use a smartphone
