The Lab Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of the lab by coordinating various administrative tasks and managing essential equipment and involving in the research component. This individual will be responsible for facilitating lab meetings, handling employment contracts, financial documentation, and overseeing sleep tracking equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule weekly lab meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among lab members.
- Prepare and manage employment contracts for lab members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies.
- Handle the preparation of bursaries, invoices, and cheque requisitions, recommendation letters, and maintaining meticulous records and facilitating timely payments.
- Collaborate with researchers, staff, and external partners to facilitate the efficient flow of information and resources.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and organizing lab-related events.
- organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to manage important administrative tasks efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or related field.
- Previous experience working in a research laboratory setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration and convey information clearly.
- Bilingualism in both English and French is required.\
