Research assistant/coordinator

The Research Assistant / Coordinator will be responsible to work closely with the study team members to ensure the successful recruitment, screening and scheduled studies. The Research Assistant’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as ethnic application, participant recruitment, and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and coordination of participants for the research study.
  • Preparing participants for the different phases of the project.
  • Be responsible for the execution of data collection, coordinating data collections, collecting survey and interview data, processing data, and archiving data.
  • Organize and prioritize all activities associated with the research studies.
  • Assist in the setup of sleep studies
  • Maintain & order research supplies.
  • The ability to use SPSS / R / Matlab; E-prime and Python would be an advantage.
  • Responsibilities may also include the following: assisting with amending study protocols; assisting with database entries; organizing group meetings and providing general administrative support.
  • Performs other related work as needed. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted is preferred 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Knowledge of techniques relevant to the lab (e.g. data analyses, exercise interventions, modifying computer scripts, EEG set-up), would be an advantage.
