Kazem is currently a master student in the department of health, kinesiology and applied physiology. His honours thesis focused on the role of sleep spindle density on attentional performance. As he is finishing his undergraduate studies, he is planning on pursuing his Masters of Science under the supervision of Dr.Dang-Vu. His research awards include CIHR Canada Graduate Scholarships Master’s Award (2019), Concordia Undergraduate Student Research Award (2019), NSERC Undergraduate Research Award (2018), and the FRQNT Scholarship Award (2018).
